NPIBF College Scholarship Program

The Northern Plains Independent Baptist Fellowship of churches (NPIBF) is pleased to sponsor various scholarship opportunities to qualified applicants who have previously attended Black Hills Baptist Camp and who enroll in a one-, two-, or four-year degree or certificate program in either Bible, Ministry, or Christian Education at one of our approved Baptist colleges, schools, or institutions.

NPIBF Ministry and Education Scholarships exist in order to financially encourage the young people in our churches and camping program to pursue God, study His Word, and consider a life of service for His glory, particularly in the following areas:

    • Pastoral Ministry, Evangelism, Missions, Chaplaincy

    • Soul-winning, Discipleship, Teaching in the Church

    • Children’s Ministry, Church Nursery, Youth Ministry, Bus Ministry

    • Music Ministry, Sacred Music, Song Leading, Music Education

    • Support Ministry, Church Administration, Church Office Management, Secretarial, Graphic Design, A/V Media, Technology

    • Apologetics, Christian Leadership, Bible Translation, Biblical Counseling, Research

    • Christian Education, Christian School Teaching, Christian School Administration

We believe that a person can have no higher calling than to serve God by way of His calling for one’s life (Rom. 8:28; Eph. 2:10). Regardless of profession or job choice, however, we believe that a Biblically-trained, spiritually-motivated Christ-follower can be a powerful servant-leader, who has not only a career and a family, but also a significant ministry of service through which he or she may advance the cause of Christ, lead others in salvation, and bring glory to God!

Applications are open to any Black Hills Baptist Camper who is completing his/her senior year; who has demonstrated involvement in his/her scholarship-supporting church, who has the recommendation of his/her pastor and a second recommendation from a non-relative; and, who is enrolling full-time, in either on-campus or online learning, in an approved program at an approved school for the upcoming semester.

Scholarships are based on student status each year, and awarded for a one year period only. A new application, completed and received within the Application Window (April 15—August 15), is required each year. A scholarship awarded in one year is no guarantee of an award in subsequent years. Applicants are selected on a number of criteria, including annual funding availability.

Four-Year Ministry Degree (Up to $3,000 Available)

$600 for the Freshman Year

Upon scholarship award and enrollment verification, the first-year ministry scholarship amount shall be paid directly to the approved school according to the following schedule: $300 paid on or before September 30; $300 paid on or before January 30.

$700 for the Sophomore Year

Upon scholarship award and enrollment verification, the second-year ministry scholarship amount shall be paid directly to the approved school according to the following schedule: $350 paid on or before September 30; $350 paid on or before January 30.

$800 for the Junior Year

Upon scholarship award and enrollment verification, the third-year ministry scholarship amount shall be paid directly to the approved school according to the following schedule: $400 paid on or before September 30; $400 paid on or before January 30.

$900 for the Senior Year

Upon scholarship award and enrollment verification, the fourth-year ministry scholarship amount shall be paid directly to the approved school according to the following schedule: $450 paid on or before September 30; $450 paid on or before January 30.

Four-Year Education Degree (Up to $2,600 Available)

$500 for the Freshman Year

Upon scholarship award and enrollment verification, the first-year education scholarship amount shall be paid directly to the approved school according to the following schedule: $250 paid on or before September 30; $250 paid on or before January 30.

$600 for the Sophomore Year

Upon scholarship award and enrollment verification, the second-year education scholarship amount shall be paid directly to the approved school according to the following schedule: $300 paid on or before September 30; $300 paid on or before January 30.

$700 for the Junior Year

Upon scholarship award and enrollment verification, the third-year education scholarship amount shall be paid directly to the approved school according to the following schedule: $350 paid on or before September 30; $350 paid on or before January 30.

$800 for the Senior Year

Upon scholarship award and enrollment verification, the fourth-year education scholarship amount shall be paid directly to the approved school according to the following schedule: $400 paid on or before September 30; $400 paid on or before January 30.

Two-Year Associates Degree (Up to $1,100 Available)

$500 for the FIRST Year

Upon scholarship award and enrollment verification, the first-year associates scholarship amount shall be paid directly to the approved school according to the following schedule: $250 paid on or before September 30; $250 paid on or before January 30.

$600 for the SECOND Year

Upon scholarship award and enrollment verification, the second-year associates scholarship amount shall be paid directly to the approved school according to the following schedule: $300 paid on or before September 30; $300 paid on or before January 30.

One-Year Certificate Program (Up to $500 Available)

$500 for the FIRST Year

Upon scholarship award and enrollment verification, the one-year certificate scholarship amount shall be paid directly to the approved school according to the following schedule: $250 paid on or before September 30; $250 paid on or before January 30.
